Decided to swim against the current and make a normal prop :)
After having solved the steam and google webspace problems I present a chair on a curve.
I modeled without a reference in background, so it's all messed up and I'll rescale it all in the near future. For now I celebrate a working EVERYTHING day - wohoooo \o/

Now I finally have something to sit on when I yell at those darn kids to stay off my lawn.

Meh, girlfriend got cast away playing civilization 5, so I had not too much access to the computer the last days

Compiled it into props_farm.
That not a good thing to do ? YM complained about my weird file structures :D

Ready to download: If you find any errors of any kind, please be sure to let me know, so I can fix it.

Decided that a lonely chair would be cruel, so i made a fitting stool and table to it.
Verandas of the world, there you go:

So I popped them into one of my test maps and ran it to see how they look. They blend right in! Except for one thing.

Can you guess what I'm about to say? Yeah...

Glowy edges at distance. Not as severe as some props, but I still recommend recompiling the textures with mipmap sharpening off (and the resize method set to box, if it's not already).

Ah, that's something I always wondered ^^
Thanks for the heads up !
Do you think the size is fine ? Cause I kinda felt, they could be a tad too small ?

edit: haha, are you kidding me, I always went furious about these lines appearing (now I know it's the sharpening process) - thank you so much for finally bringing that up. I think I'd be scaling the models up a bit and resave all the textures to remove these lines. And rerelease every model I ever did because of these lines ;)

DOWNLOAD UPDATE

I changed the mipmap settings and scaled the props 10% bigger. So you 3 people that downloaded and found it useful, you can now do that again, if you wish. If not, you're exclusively users of underscaled furniture - that still rocks !

Lookin' better. Now there's a black glow on the edges, but that fits a lot more with the baked-in shadowing. And I hadn't noticed before, but yeah, the original was a little puny compared to Boojum's Engie spawnmodel. (His feet would have touched the floor sitting in it.) Although now that you've pointed it out, they're still pretty small compared to some of the other farm props, which makes me wonder if they're too small or the other props are just too big.

This game seems to have a problem with prop scale in general, honestly. I noticed this when I was working on artpass, and I tried to put binders on the shelf in my garage next to the can of Rusto and the paint bucket. They looked like they were from a totally different game! So I dunno what to recommend.
