For a suggestion on the roof texture, make it brown. you don't see much grey brush in a tropical island.

It gets grey once it's had plenty of time to sit around dead in the sun. On the other hand, fresh roofing isn't out of the question and would certainly look better. That was going to be my next take on it anyway, but I also don't like the look of the texture, so I'm going to do more than just change the color.

How about a palm leaf texture? I recall a lot of jungle programmes where make shift dwellings had palm tree branches for roofing. Rather than hay. Just a thought.

Amazing!

I *think* I love tc, but with no decent tc map around, it's hard to know for sure. X)

Looking forward to play this.

That map overview is an iddy biddy bit simplistic don't you think?
Are you going to add polaroid sized photos for each area like in hydro?

Simplistic is good, it gets the point across. Most people dont care to examine those boards for very long and just want to get in game. Speaking of in game.. Meet the new and improved Uberbot

Very nice! Should some how also work him into a future map, but maybe hes already done something quite bad by that point :-0

Buddikaman,

Robot design is superb and really shows what you were talking about integrating models into maps fully rather than just laying them on top of brushwork.
That being said, the green eyes don't seem to fit the tf2 color palette. Of course straying from it is an option, but might I suggest the same shade of yellow that an ubered player's eyes glow?
Your work is excellent though, meridian's one of the most exciting things for me in mapping at the moment. Keep on truckin fellahs

No worrys guys, just a WIP. Im in process of tweaking the glows, and removing them from some places. Its not supposed to look "sci-fi". Thanks for your inputs.

On his chest there are too much screws if you ask me, would be nicer if it was all smooth there and his chin should be slightly darker metal too. Ofc that's how I would do it. Otherwise than whining about those little things.... it's looking damn damn cool.
