Offtopic but I got scammed for the first time today, "KoH | BoB | Warmup@" was trading a v2 crate for 2 v1 crates and a scrap, last minute he adds another weapon by "accident" and then pretends to "accidentally" takes off the v2 crate which he then swaps for a normal v1 crate.

Simple scam so I can imagine it becoming popular. Don't fall for it.

Report him if you want to... that'd be a bit extreme but payback if you're feeling particularly mad.

Speaking of which, I'm particularly mad that Valve made Community Weapons untradable. I was having fun using a Sticky Bomb Launcher (which is much better than the Wrench that Valve gave me a week before the entire Engineer update) for a little bit but now... bah.

I did, also got everybody else scammed by him to do it too. It's a shame when the odd person ruins it for the rest of us.

Yup, and I hate that people are actually defending the scammers. People there are complaining about their accounts getting disabled, and others are backing them up because the victims "were stupid enough to get scammed."

No arguments I was stupid, severely lacking in sleep I probably wasn't the most alert. He was trying to get a hat out of me too - thought he caved in pretty easily...

Atleast I realised straight after I pressed the trade button, others didn't until I pointed it out to them lol. To be fair there's no diference visually between the two crates and I have the sound turned down most of the time so I can talk to people; I couldn't hear the ping it makes when someone changes the item.

Plus you know, you just want to trust people...

Quick heads up

Like other promotional hats, Bill's Hat and Max's Severed Head, many instances of the Lumbricus Lid can be traded. This has been confirmed by Valve to be a bug and that all promotional hats are supposed to be non-tradeable. While all Lumbricus Lids can currently be placed in a trade transaction, attempts to complete the trade result in an error message.
