Snowbound

This is a small KOTH map based in a wintery outpost of some sort(the actual theme of the map other then snow is still undecided). The capture point is on a lift that moves from the 2nd to ground floor of a building.

I'm looking forward to have some comments and feedback about the map's layout right now. As for the look i'm aware of some of the roofs being poorly done.


Currently wanting feedback on:

- General Layout
+ How to improve
+ What to possibly remove
+ What to possibly add
- Any possible neat ideas to add to the snow theme.

Just wondering, what is the condition of the point moving, is it timed, random or something else? Or doesn't it happen at all?

The layout looks reasonably fine, maybe a bit to open around what I think is the spawn, this may lead to one team pushing back the other to the spawn and making it impossible to get out. There defiantly needs to be more sign-age around the place so people can work out where everything is. The area around the point may be a bit small and it also might be a bit difficult to defend. Apart from that it looks pretty good.

The platform works on a timer randomizing between 25 and 45.

As for the open area i'm trying to think of what i could put there to make it not so open. maybe like a cliff wall seperating a path.

the point might be a little to open allowing Demoman + soldiers to spam the point (as shown by arrows!)

from what I can tell, mainly from those 2 platforms, just putting a roof over them is my suggestion, (the doorways shouldn't be too much of a problem)

I'll try out a way to make a roof on those buildings without making them look silly. Thanks for the feedback :)

Whatever you do- don't name it snowbound. That name brings back to many memories of halo 3. *SHIVER* :facepalm:

You misunderstand me, my friend. As an owner of Reach and Halo 3, I was merely recalling the time wasted on that oh so terrible multiplayer map in Halo 3 - snowbound. :facepalm:

Weee just fixed the elevator not killing people (thought i did that already) but it's fixed now.
