Weird texture blending

I'm using a mix of blendgroundgrass texture and blendrockforestwall (or something) on a displaced formation to have greass spread onto the greyish rock wall texture.

I've painted the alpha many times, checked leaking, used smoothing groups, etc but I keep getting this strange result

Where the transition between the textures is clearly shown. This doesn't happen if I use groundgrass on all the displaced faces (the whole thing is sewed) but I get some weird shadows with the other blend texture.

My guess would be something with normals map (the sun angle is quite low) but it feels odd having to mess up with the vmf file. Or possibly these textures aren't meant to be used together to make transition... Any idea ?

Looks like a lighting issue that can result from having more than two displacements meet along a given line segment. Double check that you don't accidentally have another side displaced on those brushes.
