So it's a Granary/Well-style CP map, only there's only one spawn.... PER WORLD.

That's right, both teams will be fighting out of opposite dimensions, with 2 CPs in each, and to cap the other two they must enter the dreaded Portal Realm (petent pending), Cap the CP within, and go on into the other team's dimension and capture their CPs.

Like Metroid Prime 2, only no annoying poison air

you mean only one info_teamspawn? that wouldn't work, have you ever played a map that tries to spawn 24 people in the same place at the same time??? its horrible.
If you mean one spawnroom that also wouldnt work, you'll get some loser just sitting their as a heavy next to the resupply locker and shooting non stop bullets into the other team as they spawn.

No, I mean, in reality, there will be two maps, identical to each other but only acessible from the other map via the teleport entity.

Nobody's ever played Metroid Prime 2?

Are you saying that the middle cap is accessible by teleport only. You can't run there, you have to use a teleport to reach it, then another teleport to reach the opposing teams 2 final cap points?

Am I getting it right? (p.s. I'm at work and don't have access to whip this up in photoshop, so bite me and my example!)

This is tf2, not portal.

We don't have a portal realm, and metroid prime is much more futuristic than tf2. Try remaking a tfc map.

Your obviously not going to listen to me like the rest of the community, but whatever.

I don't think this will work, maybe it will, maybe it wont. I'm not optamistic about it either way.

I think its a cool idea. I wonder what kind of special effect you should use for the teleporters though...

I remember playtesting this map for tfc, was something like hypercube. Anyways, there were multiple cubes and you could teleport to different ones, depending on which one you were in.

It can be done. Three maps not physically connected to each other.

This is tf2, not portal.

I like the idea a lot man. At least it's something different. Hell, if engineers can teleport people from A to B why can't it be a permanent part of the map.

Go for it!

What would be cool is actually you would just have the normal map that looks like its a straight line with just some lined up cap points like O - O - O - O - O. But in between each point there is a teleport trigger that sends players to a separate area, where when they read the other side they get teleported back to the cap point.

(O = cap point, | = teleporter)

O |1| O |2| O |3| O |4| O

each number is a separate area that you can't see in the main map. :)
I could make an example tomorrow.

I already made a map like this, but never relesed or finished it, after my fist play test on my own I just figured it wouldnt work.

Anyone who would like to see this map just PM me, if I get enough PM's maybe I will finish it, who knows ? :p

The concept sounds awesome, but you've got to make sure there are a lot of different portals between the parts (or maybe one entrance with a lot of random exits, it it's possible, I'm not sure), because a portal exit would be easily campable with a sentry, for example. Or a Sniper who's learned the exact position of a just-teleported person's head :)
