Territorial Control - New way of game?

I just got a new idea for a game and it Calls TCP "Territorial Control Pass"(Still thinkin on the name) And I thought it was a good idea to have a new Territorial Control point gamemode.

Gamemode: Both Teams have 2 control points and 2 flags you just take the Intel apart. They need to Cap those Control points For 10 , 15 Minutes maximum and after you capture those 2 control points, you still need to wait and defend those control points for 1 minute or 30 seconds.

Objective: Your objective is try to rush or attack and defend Hardly, than usual and its needed more teamwork. Than TC itself.


This idea was my first idea for a gamemode, feel free to comment and give more tips how make some stuff better. Thank you

Too complex. Any gamemode in TF2 should be explained in a sentence, ala "Capture their flag while defending yours!" or "One team pushes a bomb cart while the other tries to stop them!"

Also, unless you mistakenly put minutes when you meant seconds, entire games of Badlands and Granary can take place in your proposed capture time. And I don't understand what you mean by "take the intel apart". Do you mean removing the flag from the capture area to enable it? If so, it only makes the control point play more complex in a needless fashion. In addition, holding a control point for a certain amount of time after capping it? It seems you're trying to combine KotH, TC, & Keep-away CTF. Not a good combination.

This is just taking too many concepts and throwing it into a single map. It sounds like it would be better as a single round but even then it's just a weird CP push/CP A/D hybrid.

I couldn't say whether it would play well as it's not really like anything currently out there, but i imagine the map will frustratingly just stalemate in ever lasting combat as the 4 points simply continue to change hands. Teams having to split up 4 ways to capture/defend each location. map wins would not be decisive.

CTF mechanic seems redundant.

Oh yeh i forgot.. 2 Rounds the map will be and I agree with you grazr. Thx for commenting I will just think on more ideas cause i think intel will be very :| frustrating and very hard.
