Wait, how does one craft a random weapon. Strange I didn't know one could.

Frontier justice sounds like that kind of weapon that'll get changed a lot in the future.

If i felt like exploiting that fact i'd setup a level 1 sentry somewhere and run around with my PDA out waiting for someone to cross my path, self destruct it and fire away a load of auto crits. Who the fuck needs a kritzkrieg medic when you can do the exact opposite of what the engi is supposed to do and still get them.

Something tells me there is going to be a lot of non-team player engineers in the future.

But the sentry needs to get kills first before you can do that.

At the same time though, I'm imagining Dustbowl 2-2 where there's always a sentry and once that sentry's done, Blu rushes. However, now they have to deal with an Engi with a bajillion crits.

So they just randomly give out wrenches during item crafts instead of whatever you're crafting for, is that it?

I went mad trying to craft together random objects earlier in the hopes of finding something interesting (like a wrench :O), and ended up accidentally triggering a working blueprint or two and unintentionally using up stuff I'd been saving. I made the best of it though and rounded out my backpack - now I have all the current weapons that aren't promo-related. :) Gotta make the best out of every screw-up, no?

The crafting is a ploy from Valve to make everyone craft all their weapons and play vanilla TF2.

If they get everyone to craft their Razorbacks, they can remove it from the game. :woot:

The way i read it was:

> Every sentry kill gets 2 crits. These stack and can be used at any time.
> Every assist gets 1 crit. These stack and can be used at any time.
> A destroyed sentry gives bonus crits.

Bonus could either mean full crits for X seconds or mini crits for X seconds. Irrespective of stacked crits through sentry kills.

Otherwise, why bother seperating "bonus crits" from the regular stacking crits via sentry kill streaks on the notice board.

I thought it was very obvious by the name "revenge crits" that they occur after your sentry has died. I don't see it as separating them, it's just bullet points explaining it one step at a time.

• smaller clip
• no random crits
• revenge crits instead
• where they come from
• when you get them

Plus, if it was as you said then it would be ridiculously strong, so I'd think it's common sense to dismiss that notion.

I wish the 300 odd hours I've racked up as engie actually affected the chances of getting one of these wrenches.

Really is bothersome that play statistics like "time played X class" don't have any weight in how its found.

Im not looking for a landslide.. but some sort of weight would be nice.

More than time played, it should've maybe just been engy has to be in your top three (four?) classes. Looking through the people who got them it's kinda disappointing how many have engy at 7 8 or 9. :/

Agreed, engie is by far and away my most played class. I guess it will encourage more people to play engie, but it's not as if there's a great shortage of them anyway. Would've been nice if there was some sort of reward for all the dedicated engie players who've waited for this update from the start.

Still, really excited for this update. :D

I'd be inclined to agree, but then Valve made the equaliser. So who really knows these days...

Everyone has been ignoring the most important (subtle) announcement of all, the new maps!
Take a look:
tf2maps.jpg

Take a look - it has a list of maps we already know, as well as a few features we don't.
To be fair, Teufort is almost definitely 2fort (hey, it only just occurred to me, I was busy speedphotoshopping before) but Hale river and thunder mountains could quite possibly be the new maps.

Also, has anyone checked properly for hidden pages? I tried tabbing through the pages but I only found one or two, and none labeled "hidden" in the URL.

And hey, during some of my crappy google searches I realised something:

One of the TF2 writers was making jokes about Robin Walker's name, as shown here:

"Robin" most popular Australian girls name.. How the f*** did I not see that before?
