I'd actually like it so that the 30 best engineer players in the game get them.

But then again, a lot of servers use mods to unbalance statistics, so it'll be impossible.

Just an idea, though.

The wrenches have stopped dropping for now, stopping at 25.

EDIT: They didn't stop. they just slowed down.

Available randomly while crafting apparently, which means I can't possibly get one (Thanks a lot, Valve, item drop limits really help) :(

Edit: Turns out there's a full other trhead with discussions about wrench drops :blushing:

The chances of getting one are so small, it's not worth emptying your whole inventory for.

Rather unlikely. These wrenches have a 100/1 chance of acquirement so seeing two wrenches go out in the same game may be likely.

I didn't idle for weapons. I didn't idle for hats. I've found zero hats. But I didn't feel like it's worth idling for.

Even though the chances of me getting a golden wrench are extremely small, I'm sure as shit going to try. I'm idling for a golden wrench.

You get one randomly during crafting right? you need items to craft, no? Well why the hell did you start dropping them BEFORE the drop limit got reset!?!?!? I think the day it resets is Wednesday too, so I have NO CHANCE AT ALL of ever getting one. Yet again, limited items have been ruined.

Sure, it was 11,111 as opposed to 100, but how often do you see someone with it and go: "Ooooh, that's awesome"?

Yea, the medal doesn't do nor mean anything. I'd only consider seeing one "awesome" if there was only one. But even then i'm more impressed by community weapons. Plus the medal was "acquired" through the website behind some secret button during a US timezone, so i don't really care for it that much anyway. It was like Valve saying "Fuck you world" and anyone who's had the game since it's release can fuck off too.

Then they broaught out the mercenary badges which were more like "sorry for mocking you guys who've been with us from the start, we didn't mean it".
