my Ping shot up shice changing to Windows 7!

For some reason my usual servers which were only about 30ms(this is super rare for someone in my country) suddenly shot up to like 450ms and the only change I seem to have made was the change from XP to Win7.

Have you checked your firewall settings, diagnosed your network connections, forwarded the proper ports on your router, checked that you're pinging everything properly, and confirmed that they are the same server?

What are you pinging, what are the ping times and have you run a tracert to the server in question?

I disable aero and found performance in general increased. Could be your system is just being taxed in new ways.

Have you made sure it's not trying to download updates? If you just upgraded there are probably a buttload.

My ping went down on win7 from xp. Better driver me thinks.

That happened to me recently, on my XP. can you say EPIC F***ING LAG? Or just "lag spike".
