You're walking a very fine line, one that I don't recommend walking.

So how about it? Why not treat people more respectfully? What do you have to lose?

Be polite - no thread crapping, flaming, insulting, name-calling or Trolling.

Be mutually respectful - don't post rubbish, and you won't get rubbish back to read.

It says in that thread that breaking these rules will lead to a warning and if they continue to be broken, a ban will be issued and the admin's discretion.

So I ask why doesn't Flame get banned? I'd have banned for his type of behaviour at the community I play with long ago, but here it's accepted that he's the exception to the rule. Instead people get banned for calling him out, what's that about?

And Rexy mate, stop feeding the troll, he'll only chase you harder. ;)

EDIT: I'm not flaming or trolling, I'm actually genuinely curious why.

I took that class too, Shmitz. But you can't argue logical fallacies to people who don't know them. This is the internet. Logical fallacies only work in the academic world.

For the sake of the thread and everyone who's posted in it, and everyone who's been effected by it, it should be shut down.

Flame has admitted that the thread was partially created to trigger a flame war.

The thread was supposedly about a possible adminship.

The thread is now off-topic.

Should probably just close the thread before we lose more respectable members to the flames.

Just sayin'

How many times did you have to take it?

I passed the class with an A. Shmitz, I have no problem with you, as I've said before. My issue is with flame.

Why act the way you do? It's not a hard question? Why so disrespectful?

Don't backseat moderate, the thread would be closed if the staff saw it fit to be closed.

I was just suggesting what was best. I had no intention of backseat moderating, I just believe this thread would be better off dead.

Come on flame. One question. Why do you act the way you do?

Im not quite sure how you want me to explain this. I played tf2 competitively starting in september of 09ish, had to deal with the "youre bad," "you suck," "get off my team" when i was starting out naw meen.

Met some cool people along the way to my competitive beginnings aka 2fort2furious. Made friends with some of the mappers there since at the time it was the only custom maps server i knew despite the fact it had 900 other weird plugins to make it one of a kind but whatever. Made friends with mangy during my first season of tf2 (esea o s3) where my team went like 3-9. introduced mangy to some pug channels on irc and shit getting him a lot of good feedback than yukon went official and i was like wow that was easy.

Came over to tf2m because i think youme or someone told me to post, probably wasnt youme was prob ace or mangy or some other 2f2f bro. Realized how bizarre you guys ran gamedays since anybody can post regardless of who they know and the ctf/plr contest was underway so i figured everything was just dandy.

Then me and nineaxis met in a pub, he healed me, i killed stuff, we dominated. Then I met supertoaster and we quickly realized it was love at first sight. Started pubbing more, joined the steam group, started chillin in chat, the usual. Gave some feedback since I understood the game. Than last year I played my first real season of comp won cevo free placed second in open. Then I took a season off and just pubbed to get back on track with schoolwork where me and icky became friends and i started helping him dev coldfront which turned out very well for him... than i was like yo let me judge the ctf contest which sucked but some good maps popped out... (top 3 took feedback well from me) just saying.

uhh now i want to mod just because i had ftp for a few months and rcon and didnt really abuse anything at all. got some stv demos for people, uploaded maps when the uploader broke, helped with a bunch of gameday hostings and shit.

now im here listening to uneducated fools tell me how not helpful I am and while it bothers me a little bit, I really dont care because at the end of the day, I know my feedback made a difference, and that someone somewhere is enjoying themselves more on a custom map thanks to the feedback provided by myself, or anyone I referred someone to.

here to help, not to please. 8)

edit: right now my comp team is top 6 in open (pretty good) playing for another spot aka another win will put us in 4th than 3rd than second than first etc. but thats aside the point.

im not arrogant for any particular reason other than i like getting shit done quickly and not beating around the bush. not here to baby anyone or treat anyone like a small child. cant stand the heat, get out of the kitchen =]
