I'm thinking about trying something here, but I don't know if it's possible. Anyway, my question is, is it possible to import custom audio into Hammer? My intent is import an actual song. Roughly two minutes--if it is possible and not TOO impractical, how would I go about it?

Totally. Just need to put it somewhere in the tf\sound directory, make a subfolder of your choosing. It needs to be a wav though, so a song could add quite the filesize.

this gave me an idea. sorta inspired by tachyon/lolcano. RED and BLU fighting over a giant jukebox full of songs/song excerpts (as many that it doesn't grow to a huge file size). Everytime you cap it plays a different song, until the next person caps (the song changes again). I'm thinking short cap times too.

At the end Ode to Joy/All the songs in the jukebox start playing (replacing the audience clapping/cheering).

You can use mp3 files too (I did for my map). 3MB is better than 30. Last time I checked Hammer doesn't properly preview mp3 files, so you'll have to run your map to test the sound.
