Organising How Many People Spawn Where

This is a post I am making for a clan member who needs help with his current map (obviously). This is what he wrote on the issue:

Hello, I've got a rather taxing entity conundrum that I'm stuck on, which is rather pivotal for my entry into the GFL ZF map competition. What I need sorting out is that I need different people to spawn at different places, but I want more of the RED team to spawn at one place than the other.

Can I fine-tune the numbers of players in each spawn area (I want more REDs to spawn at spawn1 than in spawn2)?

It'd be much appreciated if someone were to reply to this ^-^.

Couldn't you just place more spawns in a room than the other?

if that doesn't work, you might be able to use a trigger_multiple to enable and disable spawnpoints based on how many people are in each area.

I already thought of that but it wouldn't work as everyone is spawned instantly on new round so if there were 4 spawn points waiting to enabled another it wouldn't work as the whole of red team would spawn in those 4 spawn points.

I fear I may have had a bit of a stupid moment here. The placing more spawn points in one place that the other would work, I think, assuming you place them in the right order in hammer. This would only work, however, if spawns are cycled rather than picked randomly in tf2... are they?

I think you spawn randomly, but if you place more spawns in one place than the other, probability suggests you will spawn in the area with more spawns more often, atleast if the difference is great, say 12 vs 4 or something.
