I'd make the windscreen about twice the size imho.

Ignore the beveling and all the edgelooping I've inserted to hold volumes.
Gonna hunt around these forums for some clues as to ideal triangle count, but once I get the highrez mesh more or less locked down I'll commit to defining the lowpoly.

for something like that I'd say go up to 8000 tris, the hydro truck is ~5600 which is of similar size.
