Exist's Ongoing poster thread

This is a progress/download/help/request thread.

Ill be posting out images I've found that'd ill be redrawing (vector) detailing (raster) then releasing with VMT's (and of course) VTF's. Feel free to take any of the refs and make them your self.

I did 2 of the 6 so far. will do more later.

I also added 4 private overlays that I have packed into a map that was for a private server. Download rate, crits, blah blah blah

i don't understand. what are you doing with these?

these are actual posters, he's going to trace over them and make vectors (infinitely scalable versions) and turn them into posters for tf2!

But tf2 isn't set during WWII
Now, if you replace hitler with the announcer...

Well seeing as world war 2 is only 5-10 years behind when TF2 is supposed to take place, styling hasn't changed that drastically.

Anyways, I think if you're going to redraw them following TF2's styling I'd suggest you make a few changes in names and images so they include more tf2-ish ideas. Like the cigar case could be made into the spy's cigarette case, add a scout hat to the "Not so Nice; Sugar and Spice photo", etc.

I agree with the posters you've made, I just wanted to point out that WWII itself stands seperate to the tf2 universe (though you can easily use the red vs blu thing as a giant metaphor, or rename the posters) but I can see you've already got that down.

I have to agree, the holes need to be a bit more rough-edged. The trees(?) on the right look like they could do with a touch more definition and the 'R' in lumber could do with a touch more blue space to it's right. Other than those minor gripes it's really good and I'd happily use it. :)

I like it, but the "holes" seem very "oh look, round photoshop brush!"y

Understood, Ill roll back a bit

Thanks for seeing they were trees >.>. The whole text just has a drop shadow filter on it with high strength. Ill push out a 2nd one because I'm cool like that :)

Edit, How bout this?

That looks pretty good. The holes and damage could be a bit more pronounced, but the trees definitely look nicer.

Heyo, thanks to the people in steam group chat (wasted, aly) I revised the 84 lumber and there are not two of them (SE005, SE006). Will still be adding more! don't be afraid to request!

IMO, the damage on the beacon shoes sign looks a little too neat as well. Same with the Dial-M sign. The cigarette sign needs wear.
