Dear Subject Name Here,

Aperture Science is pleased to inform you that we have partnered with Valve to announce the gala CANCELLATION of the June 14 Portal 2 event at the Regal Theater. The event will be replaced by a surprise. And even though the cancellation of the event certainly counts as a surprise, we are pleased to further announce that the cancellation of the event is not THE surprise. However, per International treaties regarding the definition of the word "surprise", of which both Aperture Science and Valve are signatories, the time, date and content of the actual surprise will only become available as you experience the surprise.

If you'd like to ask fruitless questions about the E3 Portal 2 surprise or, more fruitfully, schedule an appointment to attend a Portal 2 screening at the Valve booth during E3, please contact Valve's Special Envoy to Surprises, Doug Lombardi.

Thank you for [RECORD SCRATCH!!!]

PS: The surprising record scratch is also not the surprise.

I bet the surprise is that they built a real working portal gun, which consumed all the budget they had for Portal 2. But they'll only give it to people who preorder Left 4 Dead 3, which comes out on November 17 and features four new survivors who cannot speak except for profanities, and adds 47 1/2 new hats. Also, saferooms no longer contain guns, ammo, or medkits - they're all given by random drops now. :O

Yep ...

I wouldn't mind a complete overhaul of the Source engine and Hammer so that it's much easier/simpler to use.

Or L4D3, Ep3, TF3, Portal 3, HL3, etc.

Lights dim. A wall of lights light up with a big black three on the left hand side. The crowd flips out. The three changes to a 2:59-2:58-2:57. Crowd freaks out trying to leave the room but the doors are locked. GLADoS strikes again!

Gabe Newell announces that he has cancer, then spends the next twenty minutes talking about how Steve Jobs stole his idea. Then a 48 hour countdown begins. At the end of the countdown Gabe announces the tumor was removed successfully and turns out to be the announcement speech for Half Life 2 Episode 3.

You know we'd all be there for the 48 hours whining in chat.
