I have tested the fan model with one of the func_rotating workarounds. It seems like the fan blade does not turn 100% smoothly, but it doesn't look that bad - so it's usable

I still have a lot of problems. First of all the reflections. They are still to shiny. I applied a mask to it:

But without the reflections it looks boring. I copied the phong keywords from other objects into their vmts but I can't see any phong effect.
I'm also still stuck on the foot texture. It's harder than I thought.
I was able to register XSI mod tool and I animated the fan. But I can't export it. I export it as a smd animation but I get an empty file.
For my door [ame=http://forums.tf2maps.net/showthread.php?t=9925]I need[/ame] better scratch textures:
As you can see on the doors, SketchUp doesn't export the models with their correct size so there's a small gap between the doors.

i have a question concerning your huuuuuge fan. did you work of any reference pics for this ? if so, how did you find them ? what keywords did you search for ?
because searching for "big fan" results in weird results.
because i'm searching for something like the daylight-sylvester-stallone fans but all search results are either tiny fans/ventilators from computers or real people

Awesome work, been looking for a fan model for a long time, building a floating platform and i have been looking for a fan blade model to use in it and you've even got it in a large scale, AWESOME.
Problem is i would love to have the doors as well, they look awesome but i dont' see a download for any of these, Keep up the work man.

Good models now i want them. i want the cut outs the most.

Nice, it needs animations though.
I know, I know, I'm not taking away from your awesome work, I'm just mentioning it.
Maybe try Blender? That should be easy enough to use.
And then you could do animations!
