So with the Engineer Update coming up pretty soon from most of the hints on the TF2 blog titles and the recent 300mb update, does anyone want to have some guesses on what's gonna be coming up?

If you predict correctly an item/hat/map that gets released, you'll win a free cookie!

No predicting the Engineer's Laser Sentry though, that's already been discovered:

Thanks AgeNT for providing this ;D

maybe a dispenser that is tied on the engineers back to give him and his teammates around ammo and health at a lower rate than the normal dispenser, allowing him to play more offensively

Wouldn't mind a load of new achievements relating to updates that have come out since, like reflect kills for Pyros and such.

As an "assistant Engie," I'd love to get a tool that lets me see where other Engies' buildings are through walls or something, and know when they get sapped or damaged. I'd trade that for the ability to upgrade my own buildings, or either of my guns.

Also, there needs to be an achievement called "Reverse Engineering." Preferably for destroying an enemy building and collecting all its metal.

My predictions of a welding torch as seen in the "and soon to come..." video.
I think it would replace the wrench.
It would not be able to attack.
Metal would be removed and replaced with a charging battery or some sort of thing that recharges after a time or fills up with ammo.
Instead of 25 metal a hit, it would gradually climb with primary held down, removing the factor of the little pause that can cost a lot of time when repairing.

Pros/Cons:

+No need to wait for metal
+Faster upgrades and repairing
-Removed melee
-Metal removed

That actually sounds like a pretty good idea. Although I'm not sure about the downsides, for one thing it seems weird to not be able to use it as a weapon (wouldn't you?) and finding metal is the kind of exposure that engineers are supposed to risk. I like the idea of regen, though.

They neeeeed this map.

EDIT: also halfacre stark and furnace are coming too

I dunno, Coldfront is the best version of the map. There is a reason he updated it from a1.

For the laser sentry thing, I was wondering about it's properties and such and came up with this.

+ Longer sight range
+ Faster firing rate

- Cannot be upgraded
- Cannot fire if a team member is blocking the sentry's laser sight

You can't make things griefable by your team like that. I've always thought that the tradeoff for a sentry with longer range would be to make its targetting sphere egg shaped, so you can get closer to the sides/back before it detects you.

Or give it a limited rotation, period, like the Half-Life/Portal sentries.

Well, there are a few new icons
The new explosion is probably environmental explosion death

A flaming backstab arrow? Well, that seems pretty odd, don't you think? Also, it isn't a huntsman arrow
Wonder how nobody picked up on it

As for the laser sentry, it is the same sentry with a laser coming from it, so possibly an upgrade to a level 1 rather than a new sentry

The exploding head, possibly some sort of sharp-shooting bullets? Look closely and you see what looks like a bolt coming out the right side of the head :O

Edit: Poolukes sniper sentry is actually better, the exploding head is a headshot and the laser is a body shot

Its a kill from hitting someone with a burning arrow that dies from the afterburn if im right. im 100% sure its in the game already.

I've seen it before; it's definitely already in use for flaming arrow kills. I feel like I've seen it accompanied by the arrow impact sound, meaning that maybe if you nail someone in the back with a burning arrow, it's a one-hit kill? Has anyone tried this?
