dd_newsan is a Double Domination map for Team Fortress 2. The current version is a4.

Double Domination is a game mode adapted from the Unreal Tournament series.

It plays like a variation of King of the Hill. There are two points, A and B with fast capture timers. A team must capture and hold both points for 15 seconds to score a point. The control points then reset and a point is awarded to whoever owned both points. The other team capturing a point during the timer cancels the countdown and resets the timer to 15 seconds.

The first team to reach 3 points wins the map.

This is an early alpha version of the map. If you see any dev textures or missing cubemaps, please report them.

Known Bugs:

The logic works to my knowledge. There may be some strange bugs that only appear in crowded servers. If the game freaks out, please report it!

I downloaded the map and had a run through. VERY Overscaled. You also have a non-symmetric layout, which I fear will give either red/blu an advantage when it comes to capping the points.

PLEASE do not use file hosting sites like the one you're using now. You can use Dropbox (If you do decide to use dropbox, I'd appreciate you using this link to sign up) You could also upload to TF2Maps.net directly using the Downloads tab Both are alternatives to file hosting sites like the one you've used.

You might want to use a different texture for the floor in here, just to aid moveability.

This is HUGE ingame. Large sightlines = snipers owning everyone, pyros not being able to ambush, heavies becoming useless. I suggest you scale everythign down to 1/2 of what it is now.

Long sightlines here.

The points I feel should be symmetric so each team has equal chances of winning. I didn't play this with any players/bots or anything though. Try and scale everything down and then get it into a gameday or something :)

Not going to argue with you on any of those points except that it's symmetric lengthwise. The two teams start directly across from each other and the map is mirrored along the center line.

I've updated the map to a2 taking the feedback I've gotten under advisement. I've shrunk the too-big ramp part, added doors and rearranged some geometry to cut down the sight-lines, and made some other miscellaneous changes.

Looking at his screenshots, the red and blue hallways (I think they're the middle screenshots) are rediculously massive, longer then the average arena/koth map to be sure. Make sure you scale everything down by at least 75% in my opinion.

Also, the layout looks a bit flat and boring, flat ground + cover isn't very interesting IMO.
