Hey Spike, I was watching The Goonies as I was mapping earlier and I just wondered... you don't feel like scrapping the layout of your map now and making it into a goonies one?!

You've already got all the basic elements there, you just need to beach your pirate ship inside a huge cave and have the waterfall running beside it!

Couldn't find any good screenshots, this was the best I could do:

Seriously though, I've got a terrible urge to make a Goonies map. The setting is perfect. Damn... do I dare abandon my current map?!

Hahaha no, I'm not going to change the layout because I've finished all the area and I'm very satisfied with it. But I'm probably going to make a cave with some water and this stuff, you can see it on the layout sketch some pages before.

I'm going to upload a video on some hours showing this first zone.

If you really want to do it, then do it, I've left some maps because I had better ideas, so leaving a map isn't that bad.

I've just uploaded the video on youtube... and quality sucks. OMG youtube isn't serious. How can the most famouse video website have a video quality like that?

YouTUBE is widely popular and easy to use, because it has so much traffic they need to lower video quaility to allow more hosting.

Google Search for "free video hosting"

Comes up with many video hosts who aren't going to suppress quality on ya.

Finally I uploaded the video. Thanks to DJive, i uploaded it on Vimeo. I made the video because my friends didn't belive anybody can create videogame maps, so I pwned them. It's first time I record a video from a game, so i don't know how to record the audio with fraps, that's why I've put a song instead of the game audio.

Custom models made by me.

Video shows first point of first stage, it's unfinished but almost done. Of course ways that conect 1rst point with 2nd point aren't done. Feedback would be apreciated

ok with the video, when the sniper goes into the boat to show the sniping points i noticed a flourescent light on the ceiling of that room. pirates have electricity? or is it pirates closer to the TF2 time period? im just saying it would be cool if you could put a couple kerosene lamps and/or candles instead.

Lol nice video, sorta long and the music sucked.

But hey, great looking map, love the trees. cant wait to play.

The waterfall: Going that fast would fill that pond in a matter of seconds until it overflowed. ma bey add a drainage system to add realism.

Hahaha map isn't realistic at all, come on is TF2. It has spytech inside too lol xDDD And a frog under the stairs lol

Look at ctf_2fort, ther's lot of the spytech on the intel, inside a farm! lol

And for the water... mmmmm no, i think is nice how it is, nobody will notice it, and a draining system will result on changing the layout and lower FPS (and are low at the momment, so i have to keep optimization).

i think 2fort was set up like that because its suppose to look like people are hiding weapons on a farm, like a secret place of operation. just saying since its pirate themed, it would be alot nicer to look at.
