A set of textures for a wall of granite as requested by FiLiPiNo_KiD.
Contains three different colours, as well as two detail variations, each with their own normal maps.

Feel free to use these however you wish, and create the blend VMTs if needed.
Let me know if they come in handy!

In moderation, I think this would look okay. However, in large chunks it looks a little busy and not very TF2-ish.

I can see some uses for it, though.

I'm not getting it to work. I stuck all the files in /nature/ and I'm getting black and pink checkerboards in Hammer. Yes I restarted the SDK.

Yes, I screwed up. Just realised that I just zipped up the materials without including their subfolder. Anyway, for now the files work in materials/equinoxo
I'll put up a fixed zip soon.

It's a tricky style to create something original for... If anybody has any suggestions on how I could make this particular texture adhere to the TF2 style more, I'll take them on board and create a v2 that's more effective.

It might benefit from a normal map, but I like it :)
It does, but it's quite subtle. However I think it's one of the contributing causes to it not quite fitting the TF2 style.

The biggest problem is scaling. It looks like a close-up of a flat granite counter top not a cliff made of granite from a distance.

The pink stuff is natural granite.

If you want to modify what you already have, Add some faux texture to it. Make ridges and shadows on the texture. Make those black specks look like specks, not bullet holes. And make it tile-able.

But keep it gray, of course.

No problem, already edited the VMTs myself.
