So this is my first map. The layout's not very creative, I just wanted to get something done that looks good. It's not optimized and not fully finished, although it should be playable. I won't update this map anymore, do with it what you want. :O

It looks great but you might want to move those barriers a little farther away from the point. Maybe create some height variance or something of that manner.

FYI try to avoid common names such as Trainyard or Depot or Warehouse. Every mapper and his dog chooses those names and the result is multiple maps with the same names which end up causing server issues due to different map versions.

This link is a good start, but you'll want to double check with a google search or something to see whether the name you want is already taken. If it is just wikipedia the name and find a reasonable related alternative.

Thanks for your comments. I'll try to create some more space around the control point, but I'm afraid it's difficult to move the barriers much without giving snipers too much view. And I think that you're right grazr, koth_trainyard is a bit too general. Maybe I'll name it koth_crossing or koth_sidetrack. If anyone has ideas for the name then please post them.

I really like the gloomy-ish mood you have going here. Dunno why, but I really have a fondness for gloomy maps. The design looks simple and easy to understand, but possibly a bit cramped (think 32 players :O). But anyway, nice map, I look forward to when I have enough time to playtest it.

looks great! be sure to make the fog in your skybox agree with that in the actual map- it appears that you haven't done so yet.

That would be great! I think I'll finish it during the next week. And btw I have solved the problem with the fog in the skybox now - it was so easy but i just didn't know how to do it :)

more props would do good, because there is a lot of empty space. For example, put more pinetrees on the edges. also it looks sort of small. nice job though.
