Black Squares or normal tf2 textures?

Black squares on normal textures... Sorry about that typo.

Hello, this is my first post on these forums, and I've only heard good things about the professionalism and experience shown on these threads. So I decided here would be the best place to ask about my mapping problem.

I've been working on my first map for tf2 cp_tiderock and everything is coming along quite nicely until I noticed in the compiled version, two places where my normal textures (in the tf2 library, not custom) show up rendered correctly except for black squares on them. I searched google for solutions, but the only results showed how to fix pink and black squares which is different. Any help would be immensely appreciated!

It's still technically the pink and black "missing texture" texture, except it's a missing normal map, so it shows up grayscale. It's a problem with that one (and I think there is one other) valve texture. You'd either have to do a VMT fix and pack that in, or pick a different similar material.

Download the pack in boojum's signature. It makes it blindingly obvious when you're about to use the above texture.
