Hollow collision model?

Basically I am modeling a large box. I want this box to be hollow in the middle so that players are free to move around. I modeled a hollow box for my collision model, but when I compile the model, there is no hollow space in the middle. Any ideas?

For this type of thing, make the model without collisions. Then in Hammer, block out the collisions with player clips and block bullets

Thanks everyone. I didn't want to use brushes because this box is probably going to be moving around. Going back to do smoothing groups (thanks shmitz).
