Portal, the highly awarded game from Valve is being given away totally free. There is one catch though. You need to click a big red button to get it.

I love Valve and all, but am I the only one even slightly angry that this is being given away for free? I paid for both of my copies (Orange Box + Steam sale).

Why not offer a discount on Portal 2 to those who actually bought it?

As far as this goes as a method of getting others who might have some reservations on getting Portal 2, it is bloody brilliant.

Sales don't work like that. Portal is 3 years old. I'm sure you'll have an opportunity to acquire a discount through preloading anyway.
