So I hammered together this little application that lets you view your backpack on your Android phone.

Basically, it takes a Steam Vanity ID (http://steamcommunity.com/id/hideous <- that part) but NOT a 64-bit ID because who memorizes those anyway.

To download it you can just search for "TF2" in the market, it should be there. Requires Android 1.6+!

It's okay, but it doesn't order the items at all; they are sort of scattered on the screen. Furthermore, it just shows their names, no stats or details about them. Lastly, the screen doesn't flip based on the positioning of the phone; the screen not moving based on phone position tends to crash a lot of apps that don't properly code it in (although yours didn't crash).

Overall, has potential but needs refining.

I memorized my actual SteamID. Why can't I use that?

You could probably make it look even better if you do it on the iPhone

Worst. Idea. Ever.

Anyway, when I get around to upgrading, this could be useful.

Actually, in response to everyone asking for an iPhone version, you are aware that it costs money to develop for the iPhone, right?

Where did you hear that.
It'll probably end up costing money to buy the app off itunes but developing for it shouldn't cost a penny.

wouldn't cost much to make one for the iphone. make it free, but put some advertising in there.

Yes. Buy me a mac and give me $99 each year and I'll gladly develop an iPhone version.

I'd like to note that I'm still updating the app constantly, so things like the portrait mode lock (it's locked because if it wasn't it would crash) and ordering will hopefully be fixed eventually.

Because if you mean your STEAM_0: thingy, I have no idea how to do the lookup. And if you mean your long-ass id, the 64-bit one seen in /profiles/ on steamcommunity, why the hell would you want to enter that on your phone.

Because not all users have custom url's? Some only have a Profile ID?

And the iPhone's browser is good enough to handle the other 3 websites which show backpacks, so probably not worth the effort. :p
