Take out the screenshots, or the mods will. It's because we don't want people to vote based on screenshots.

Ezekel, please can you do me a personal favour and stop making these packs!

First up: You do it before the grace period is over, which totally and utterly destroys the motivation I have

Secondly: You've packed in fogbow a6........ that was never even submitted to the contest, never mind the version that was submitted before the revisions made.

Thirdly: Tying in with reason two, now everyone has a pack of maps that I don't know is correct, and actually ISN'T correct. So when we put up the pack that is correct and vetted for maps that break the rules ect. no one wants it because they've already got yours.

All in all it causes a load of stress for something that will only take an extra day or two before we (the staff) have the same stuff up for you to download.

Is there any way then that an official map pack could be made within the hour of the contest submission closed rather then several days?

The official map pack does the sensible thing and waits for all the submissions to be in. ie after the grace period. The contest isn't really over until that is. Assuming it is leads to all this messy map pack business.

There is no point issuing a map pack before then since there are maps subject to change.

All you need is a little patience (which I know people here have very little of) we're not stupid enough to leave you without a map pack before any kind of voting expectations arise.

I respectfully disagree with you YM. I feel that Ezeckel is doing a service to people like me who cant download maps from the server. Due to the speed of my internet, it would take me 5-10 extra minutes to DL a map from the server each time the map changes. I don't want to do that. I prefer to dedicate my internet for 2 hours DLing this pack, unzipping it, and then playing then asap. I dont see how it is any worse than me going through every contest thread and downloading them myself, except for they arent zipped, and doing that takes me an hour just to click every one (I exadurate :p). Anyways, I will DL your offical pack, and replace the current one with it, however, I feel thankful to Ezeckel for this one.
