uh, does it really look like that ingame? I haven't had time to check, but I think... there's a bit too many walls with that window/brick texture.

Slightly related: did you make the title in AE? I've been trying it out lately and I wanna know if I'll be able to do cool stuff eventually.

As for the textures, I think that's a side effect of loading certain TF2 maps in Gmod (assuming it was used for the fly through).

its Gmod's textures. he obviously hasnt seen fit to find the wrong textures and put them in the gmod folders, resulting in a lame looking map.

Learn to use the demo smoother (easy compared to hammer!) and shoot your videos in TF2. I'm assuming you made your video with Gmod solely so you can use that nifty video tool-plug in- thingy (I can't imagine any other reason why you would do that). IMO, if you're going to spend time on a video (or any project, like a map) half-assing it is just a waste of time.

Here's a good video explaining, step-by-step, the demo smoother (I wish I had this to learn from years ago!)

example, I made this video in 1 hour total including "compiling time". If you need help, hit me up. :)

Do you really need to put your own name on it so many times? It takes 30 seconds just to get through the titles.

YouTube- Team Fortress 2 Freight Map Fly Through (Version 2)

Increase the speed by 2x minimum. You spend absolutely forever looking at the first point, then move past it, to look back at it!!
Second point, you then fixate on the point prop itself....yes, we've all seen a capture point, show us what is around it please.
Then once you've gone painfully slowly through the first half looking at nothing but the capture point themselves, you do it AGAIN for the other half!! It's a symmetrical map for heavens sake!

I really don't want to play freight now I've seen this vid, it's just so dull!

That second video is nice! What a classy way to explore a map!

Give me a second... little dizzy after spinning around the CP so many times. >.<

Mostly what I'd say is summarized by Youme, but let me expand a bit. What a fly-through does is it showcases a map quickly yet fully. You should focus on what's important (CPs, Important Passageways, Good Detailing, etc.) and then move on. Honestly I never liked the extended-shot method of doing a fly-through unless you had something else to show for it (like watching a kart move in payload).

For this type of film I'd suggest doing a montage instead. That way you can quickly show what needs to be shown and move on. (Also you won't clip through doors, which is one of my biggest pet peeves with level fly-throughs). Also, smaller cuts will be easier to manage then a long extended one, especially if (and hopefully when) you move to the demo smoother (I assume that you're still using gmod).
