So I was playing some arena a few days ago and I realised that the best arena maps are the ones based off control point maps. The only problem is that they're hardly played. I decided I'd knock together some derivative map in the style of one of these arena maps. I managed not to avoid creating granary mid with moved boxes and ended up with something I find interesting.


Since I enjoyed making this, I may even expand it to 5cp if the gameplay for the mid actually works.

Feedback is always welcome, but I'll probably throw this into the next gameday test and then think about blocking out the 5cp. Then again I may get a change of heart and actually decide to focus on my exams. Who knows.

EDIT: What do you call a map that takes place in a granary, when you can't use granary? It's a damn mystery, but I'm sure I'll eventually get a non-shitty name.

looks a lot like granary. would love for it to be expanded.

overlays need some work ,and also try to cover up the non playable parts of the map with some props or other detail so players dont see directly to 3d skybox,put some stuff in the way

Someone tell me how to make road overlays not all shitty with those dark patches. Half of the time it doesn't even happen, but it's a regular problem.

thanks knight, and everyone else at the impromptu. I'll have to check the angles, but I think I can extend the middle buildings inwards a bit to kill some of the sightlines.

Regarding it being like granary, mission accomplished, I guess. The 5cp will have interesting fully new points, with a lot more spytech than granary. Although I do want to do a different take on granary's mid for the second point, but we'll see how it turns out.
