Currently making a map, but I'm having trouble with the lighting. How do I achieve the all over lighting that other maps do? I've searched the decompiled 2 fort but can't find it anywhere, and it can't be all the spotlights. Any *Light* (rofl) on this would be awesome.

But that's a bit too bright, is there a way I can turn it down a little?

EDIT: Mental note: play with the settings more.
Thanks a bunch, that's good now.

in console, mat_fullbright 1

that will light up the whole map.

Or you can just experiment with the many different forms of lights and light_spots

Baggie, you can tweak the brightness and ambience of the light emitted from any sky you have in your map from within the light_environment. Also check out this for a list of skies and the recommended light/ambience levels for each. The rest of the lighting is just made up from light, light_spot and point_spotlight, going from the easiest to the most intensive to render in that order.
