Seems Activisions greed and mismanagement is finally taking a toll.

arlier this morning, we learned that two more high-ranking developers at Modern Warfare 2 studio Infinity Ward had quit. Kotaku now reports that as many as four additional employees have resigned.
The departures have been suspected following the firing of studio heads Jason West and Vince Zampella, who officially announced their new studio Respawn Entertainment on Monday. Respawn is signed to an exclusive publishing deal with the Electronic Arts Partners program, which allows a studio to retain control of its intellectual property.

The reported Infinity Ward departures are:

Steve Fukuda - Lead Designer
Zied Reike - Lead Designer
Rayme Vinson - Programmer
Chris Cherubini - Lead Artist
This brings the total number of departures from Infinity Ward, including West and Zameplla, up to ten. No one has officially accepted positions with West and Zampella's Respawn Entertainment, but you can bet that you'll be reading that soon.

I guess it's somewhat ironic that Respawn signs publishing agreements with EA then. Atleast they get to keep their "intellectual property", EA have a tendency to bastardise anything they can get their hands on. Some of their third party published material isn't so bad though... sometimes it works out, sometimes liberties are taken.

Activision really deserves this, i hope they will now be able to make something better than MW2.

Good to see.

MW series has been going down hill for a long time now.

Sadly they lost the money cow.

Maybe it'll show that good gameplay games out last the OMG!!!11 PREEEETYYY!!!1 ones that have been coming out the last 4 years.

I liked the old call of duty games such as call of duty 1, and call of duty 2 and maybe call of duty 3. I hate all the modern warfare games as well as call of duty 5 because of the unlockables and being just too advanced. I liked the old call of duties cause you either had skill or you don't. You were either good or you weren't cause you had to choose between 6 classes and nothing else. The New ones aren't just about skill anymore, it's mainly about who has the better weapons or unlockables and who's 10th prestige and all that.

I enjoyed MW1 a lot but MW2 was a bit of a hit-and-miss game. The story, for instance, was on whole new levels of awfulness.
