lol yea the console ones looked terribad

They were "alright" for consoles. But they're 3-4 year old machines. It's sorta expected. Not much you can get out of something that old especially compared to some PCs around nowadays.

All this and more can be yours when you dip your motherboard in liquid nitrogen every 15 minutes!

Cryengine 3 is meant to be usable for consoles, so there's every chance that the requirements will be, if anything, a lot lower than that of crysis and warhead.

Looks good... then they got to the facial animations, and I had to laugh at them for putting that alongside all the other amazing stuff, because Valve and Source have done faces ten time better than that for years now.

QFT. Valve's facial animation > all.

That isn't to say, of course, that CryEngine's facial animation tools are by any means bad.

If any of you were getting any funny ideas.

Agreed, Valve have the BEST facial animation I have ever seen, but people still brag about theirs being the best... all they have to do is watch the L4D2 intro video, nay ANY valve video to see that.

Other than that though, I WANT THAT ENGINE :D!!!!

I also found it funny how during the "FACIAL ANIMATION" segment where he says a bunch of words they only show HIS FACE for about a quarter of the time. They must not have wanted the normal people to stare at it long enough to realize it's crap.

I don't see what the big deal is.

The faceposing was terribad, and what in blazes is a "dynamic cover system"? Looked like a guy hiding behind a concrete barrier.

Hit reactions. Oooh, groundbreaking.

Dynamic cover system means that when you move half the world around by means of physics and smashing stuff the AI still finds cover to hide behind.

I guess that means that they'll be implementing full scale real time destruction, not just tiny windows and barriers exploding.
