Water not appearing in game.

So...basically, I followed a couple of guides on creating water to try and add a large block of water to my map. I created the water in hammer but when I compile the map there is nothing there, from any angle. So...the block is essentially square (only one water level and no inclines), no draw on all sides, and water on top (ive tried hydo cheap, 2fort, 2fort expensive and well). It overlaps a few things, but doesn't appear even when its doesn't overlap anything. There is a 3d skybox up, and I built cubemaps as someone suggested that might help...
So...yeah...im kinda stumped

more info: Its ran both full vrad and fast vrad, along with fast vvis, would have tried full vvis but im not keen on waiting a few hours

yes it is just a normal world block

umm...yeah...map still in early stages, so...it already has a skybox surrounding the map <_< I intend to optimize that later

and...the problem is gone...in fact...to tell you the truth, im quite confused...did about 12 compiles yesterday...and same error every time...but today i do one for the hell of it and the problem is gone? As far as I can recall I didn't change anything since the last compile...but im not sure

meh, i generally read the compile myself, most errors kinda pop out
