This one deserves its' own thread. It's small (installer is only 1.3 MB), free, and very easy to use. I gave it a try today and had a test clip made in all of 8 minutes!

- 2 minutes to install the program and learn the basics.
- 2 minutes to record the video.
- 4 minutes waiting as the program encoded the video file in flash.

*just ran these and for some reason the videos were eating up my system memory like wildfire. Seems to be a bug in the program's AVI to SWF converter. Don't wanna crash anyones pc (mine didn't crash, but it did run out of memory). Anyways, here's some tutorials other people made with came studio for now:

Were you able to figure out what was wrong with your faulty test clips?

I think so, part of it was I wasn't using an adanced memory management option in the flash producer tool, but I think the main problem was due to an incompatibility with the ActiveX Flash player I was using, version 9.0.28.0. When I updated to version 9.0.47.0, the memory bug seemed to go away. I've never had problems with any of the avi clips it made though.

The flash producer tool it came with still changes the resolution of avi files when converting them to swf, but even with that, I've yet to find a avi to swf converter that can match the output quality to file size ratio it achieves.
