Hey, this is a big decision for my map, it is on hold for a little bit until i get
motivated to work on it again but im starting this poll to see what you, the
community would like to see on my map, layout and design wise.

I really like the layout of this map as it is. It's quite small, but when you move at 50% speed with the flag, the map should be small. And there are already several choices of route.

I also think that maps are improved by judicious use of props & attractive backdrops. That dam was looking good last time I saw it.

Though torch isn't one of my favorite maps and I'd like to see a fresh layout, I think any major changes would detract from the TF2-ized remake feel of it. Spruce it up and smooth it out, particularly the water route and displacements. The dam theme may work somewhat in the current layout but I'd like to see the design I sent you as an entirely separate map someday too.

well...i just wrote a paragraph on my opinion...then clicked vote and it was deleted...so...heres a summary

-map is very good as it is, but improvements could possibly make it better (revert to early version if not)
-undecided on extra routes, making a sort of side entrance for the higher jumping classes might even out highly defensive situations, but as velvet said, the map is sized right for what it is
-need to keep the seemingly pointless hills (or replace it with something similar in concept), they provide for such great cover that a engie can consistently take down a pyro

Keep the layout, barring small tweaks (like pushing respawn rooms back a little and adding a small amount of cover on the bridge to the capture zone), and add some visual flourish. I think the map can play well without having to reinvent the layout.

Im between option 2 and 3. I wouldn't like many or routes, but i would like 1 more. I think your dam looks great, i cant wait to see that with a kick ass skybox.
