I'm trying to build a spiral PL map, laying track down is causing problems, advice?

I'm laying down the track first just to get a skeleton idea of the layout, I can build around it after. However a pretty annoying problem has arose. None of the track models are designed for an uphill turn, so the track starts banking. I've tried correcting this by pulling the angle of the bank slightly in on each piece, but it just looks ugly and takes too many individual pieces to be effective. I've looked for custom track models that have an uphill turn, but haven't found any. Anyone have advice on what I should do, or know of a model pack that could solve this?

Thanks

could you make the straight track bank round corners, and slowly level out when needed? You could always get someone to model what you need, but that would need some detailed thought (with the sleepers and what's happening with the ground etc).
Anyway, you wont want a sharp constant spiral, otherwise the map will lack variation and generally wont play well.

Actually, been messing around with the models, and as long as you keep the overall orientation the same, it works (look at the s-curve model, that kind of principle). If you decide to use that method though, you will need to think about where you want the track to go, and making the cart bank on the track might not be possible (I'm sure boojum will give a blunt yes/no answer if you ask him nicely and if it is a yes he'll tell you how).

it isnt a sharp constant spiral, i used that one guy's (sorry cant remember the name!) custom track models with the 22.5 turn, 4 of those give you a 90 and then it goes straight for a bit, turns, etc. im actually designing it as a PLR map, i think the balance will be good the entire map isnt spiraling, but this one part is and its giving me grief.

i tried using 64 unit straight tracks to straighten the bank back out, but like i said i need too much of a straight line of track than i want in order to restore it to flat.

im completely inexperienced with custom model making. if you could or knew someone who would edit the 22.5 track turns to rise while maintaining their level-ness on the axis that would be fantastic. id imagine each piece (4 to make a 90 degree turn) would rise by something like 32-64 units, i'd have to look at the scaling and find out whats best.

yes, that will come in handy, thanks for posting it.

in the meantime, is there anyone who would be interested in editing the track models?
