Consider this image:
SS-2010.02.12-21.16.13.jpg

1 of these models does not cover the whole staircase, and 2 models would make it stick into the floor.

Request:
Break the model up in pieces that can be connected together to fit any staircase.
(Remember the mirrored variant!)
I'm thinking Start/end points, the vertical bars, multiple lenghts of the diagonal parts.

Please?

I believe that one can put one handrail partly into another, and there won't be a lot of z-fighting. Not the best of solutions, but worth a try.

Unfortunately, that handrail is just ever so slightly shy of a perfect 2/3 slope, so there might not be z-fighting but there would be an awkward transition. It doesn't look quite right even when you're leaving gaps between them.

You may be better off just leaving out the railings completely; Double Cross doesn't put any railings on its many staircases and I didn't even notice until I checked just now (it has zigzag staircases are about the same length as yours).

I just don't like that handrail model very much...call me impatient or whatever, but I'd would much rather attempt to make a new set of handrails of those dimensions and angles, but make them modular instead. I can't say I like that handrail model enough to put love into it.

You mean like a totally new pack of handrails? That would be awesome!

I picked these railings for the request since they have additional pieces to go with them (straights, curves and these stair-shaped ones). So I figured adding more to that set would give it even more freeform capabilities.

However, Any modular handrails would make me jump of joy!

Personally, the handrails I've always wanted are glass framed ones. Like these, sorta:

Except maybe a bit more conspicuous.

Couldn't one just add their own glass to the existing handrails? But really, I would like to second some new, improved, modular handrails.
