Father Grigori, dude is in ravenholm, and is a 'father'. Maybe they didn't know if they wanted to put gman or this guy in some of the spots where he appears breifly.

OR. Grigori is Gman. They both start with a G. <- not serious btw.

It looks like they're conceptualising whether The Father/priest person was gman in disguise?? Helping gordon? Or perhaps whether they would have gman or father appear at a certain location.

It could be anything.

But that's more of a long shot than Gordon Freeman.

Given the way he talks of Freeman as an "item" or "investment" or of Alyx as a "long shot business gamble" i am not so much a supporter of g-man is freeman thing.

He seems more like a middle man, like a weapons dealer that double deals under the table, or something. Only for more powerful races and throughout the galaxy/univereses.

He also seems to possess certain psychic powers that enable him to slow down time, transmografy, telekinesis, and show up "in your mind". None of which are human traits, even if he is a future self it's unlikely he would be so detatched from his past self.

He also discusses certain business rules such as not directly intervening in events. Plus a time paradox of Grodon saving himself in the past from the future is kind of a plot hole. Oh yea, and in HL1 he has green blood. Why would he have green blood if he was human?

I guess this means that g-man should appear in similar ways like father gregori, looking through windows close to the player, or even that he should appear at the same time as gregori does.

Nothing special :D

Oh, and the gman is freeman stuff is so old, we still dont even know the real name of g-man (g-man was the name of his model, from gouvernment man), but he doesnt have any name ingame.

We will have to wait till episode 3 :(

Ravidge is right. If you read the rest, it's obvious that they were going to have Gman appear here and there throughout the level, like Father Grigory does. While drawing, wotshisname decided it would be better to use another character for this role. "Gman = Father ?" means replace Gman with a (then unnamed) "Father".

OR we could totally look at the opposite end of the spectrum and say the announcer had a sex change and became g-man.

That's funny, since my personal theory is that gman is alyx's real father.
It's because of the pauses when he talks about her,
"There was a time they cared nothing for miss... vance."
"When you see your... father,"

But if Gman is Alyx's father, where did her mixed appearance come from?
