It's okay, but most of the time it's best to share your idea beforehand.
Fun maps are good, but make sure that first, nobody else is spamming that kind of map, and second that it looks like you put in a moderate amount of effort. No matter how fun it may be, not many people want to see an empty orange box posted on here.
If by 'fun' you mean maps like ctf_2fort_greensmiley or koth_gorge or achievement_sex or something, I'd suggest not posting it here but you can. Do make sure you state it was just a fun little project you did on the side in the thread - else you'll get unwelcoming replies.

Two questions that are think are worthwhile while pursuing this line of questioning are:
I'd say that if the answer to both of these is yes you can post it without fear, just make sure you emphasise that it's not a serious map in the release post.
Also personally I'd stay away from the term 'fun-map' since paradoxiaclly it carries negative connotations, e.g. troll map.
- Does it use stock textures?
- Does it have some sort of objective for players, traditional or otherwise?

Go post it already, you've made me curious.
It's not that great, It's probably been done before but I cant find one like it on this site. I can take negative feedback, just don't want some sort of evil hate casted upon me.
