What should be in finished map?

Hi all ,
I'm close to finishing my first working map in tf2. First of all I want to thank this forum and you all for helping me making my map :)
Now I still have some questions.
1. What should be done in every completed map?
2. How is best to optimize every thing. I know how to use nodraw but I don't understand how to use Area_portal , skip and hint i saw those textures in all normal maps but dont understand that they do :huh: I would like if you show me there i could find tuts or you could explain here

You should release a alpha version that's not detailed before you make a final version, to test how the map plays

I already had about 8alphas and tested it with my friends :) now I finished texturing so now it's time for beta :)

could you help me fixing that? why there are cubes on ground? (I have builded cubemaps)

Is that custom ground texture? Try other texture. (And did you put cubemap entities to your map?)
