First of all, hammer is doing this:
WHATTHEFUCK.png

It came up like this when after I ran the map to test it out.

And second of all, when I tried to test my map, it came up with the first textures I used when I first put to together the map and some sort of weird mirror effect.

I can get a screen shot of the second problem if needed.

Yup...

This has happened to me before too. I don't know what causes it (someone else might), it may have something to do with a bad compile. I've found that closing and reopening the map in Hammer sets things right. Hopefully that works for you as well. Good luck.

Closing Steam causes Hammer to lose its "link" to texture data. Try this: when you're running Hammer, close Steam. Check the 3D view in Hammer. You'll notice all textures have turned into the pink / black checkered pattern.

ok do you have a skybox at all - or holes in the geometry to "the void" , by the screenies it dosent look like your lighting is getting done properly

make sure the level is sealed from the outside world - i.e is there any place in the map where you can get outside to "the void" is it totally boxed off from the outer boundaries by a skybox/world geometry.

if that dosent still give you any clues - run your compile log through the interlopers error checker www.interlopers.net or paste it here.
