Am I the only one who loves Gman quotes?

Rise and shine, mister freeman, rise and shine.

(that was probably a bad quote to use, but I couldnt think of anything better).

Anyways, I love using them on people, but nobody ever realises what i'm referring to.
They're like "what ashes? why would I be able to smell ashes"?

Anyone else had this happen to them?

Gman is actually my favorite fictional character of all.

Quote? ... "There was a time where their only experience of humanity was a... crowbar running at them down a steel corridor..."

The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world.

Prepare for unforeseen consequences.

There was a call for voice acting over on Interlopers so I submitted my "A different G-man" efforts.

Didn't get it, but you can see my pitiful attempts here. Fixed script, but I tried to ham up the verbal ticks (there are periods where the G-man talks pretty normally) and recorded it on my headset.

There must be some sort of dial in an audio program I can turn for "gravelly". Like this.

You definitely are not the only person who loves Gman. :)

The opening cutscene for the beginning of Half-Life 2 is my favorite in any game, bar none.

"Rise and shine, Mister Freeman, rise and shine. Not that I wish to imply you have been sleeping on the job. No-one is more deserving of a rest and all the effort in the world would have gone to waste unless... well lets just say your hour has come again. The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world. So, wake up, Mister Freeman, wake up and smell the ashes."

I don't find his quotes particularly interesting, but I absolutely love the voice actor's efforts. I guess I should be ashamed I don't know his name, because he owns. I always want to see more of him, so I hope the G-Man has a bigger role in Ep 3.

I imagine the gman has a very large role planned for the fictional episode 3, being as though he is the mysterious figure who points gordon freeman in the general direction of the combine, and is controlling it all like a game of chess. The 2 prevailing theories are that he is Gordon Freeman, obtaining special powers after having defeated the combine. Alternatively he is a higher being, playing a giant game of chess with another in the battle for earth. And in half-life 1 he was nothing more than an easter egg.

I think valve demented this, though i dont have any source.

He was sure more than an easter-egg (okay, maybe before the end).

I think it'll be very predictable if they make him the guy who's controlling all the events single-handedly. I don't really want to find out who he is at all, it's better if there's some mystery left for us to speculate about.
