CTF_OVERLOOK
A regular Capture The Flag map.

Overlook takes place in the early night, where RED and BLU are fighting to gain each other's intelligence. There are several sneaky routes - but are those leading you to the intel or to a certain death?

Anyways! I am looking for feedback!

Some parts are way too dark like that corner by that arrow sign in the second picture. Other than that very nicely focused, just the right size for 6v6. Only concern I have about the layout is that shouldn't there be another path to intel (if they are located at the end of those yards) because it makes some classes less effective and kinda makes games stuck, if there is any more than six ppl on team.

It looks like Doublelands, tbh. If it was a bit lighter and less reliant on the themes from Badlands and 2X, it might be better. I've yet to test it though.

Pretty fun map. I liked the middle (very similar to mine by the way :p), but the intel is super campable. Move it to a totally different location, so you don't have to pass spawn.

EDIT: You might want to use standard dev textures, the flat ones are sort of disorientating in the same way as fullbright.

Okay, time to change some stuff!
Things that need to be changed - please give me some suggestions:
- the intel; i'm thinking of placing it in an opener area, maybe a bit closer to the mid
- the spawn; there are two options i can think of: a dropdown (that means spawn on 2nd floor like doublecross), or way further back.

Thoughts before i start changing stuff?

imo it needs to be wider/more siderouts/less cramped/less campable. Way to easy to defend, and mid is badlands.

needs more sideroutes on mid, not so far,far away intel and more lights

all in all felt good

The map is overall better now, but I really think you should make a separate intel room. I see how having it right next to spawn makes the map minimalistic and easy to learn, but it's too easy to camp.

Okay, what are the comments on the 2nd Alpha so far? Do you like the position of the intel now? or is it still too close to the spawn?
