Ok heres the thing, I have 4 servers that I dont know what to do with it. I have tried many settings including Vanilla and they still empty. So I'm asking you guys, what a good server setting. I have these 4 servers that already been paid for the whole year and they are empty. So what can you guys think of that I can do like game modes or maps that will bring people in.

Ill be your best friend if you host my maps :p

A good amount of people don't play good custom maps. Maps like Orange_x3 or Mariokart get played more then legit maps. Some people like small maps arena maps (if you play TF2, you should know Arena isn't that popular). KOTH seems to be pretty big at the moment...

I suggest useing one of them to host TF2maps.net recent contest winners maps (I belive you can find them off the front page's Flash widget)

Then use another to hold the PL/5CP contest winners.

The 3rd one for community custom map testing (mostly alphas).

Use the 4th too your liking.

REMEMBER, this is only what I'd do, so don't be afraid to muck around with it. PS: PL_CASHWORKS! :)

I did have the contest maps on one of the servers a while back when the valve posted the contest on their blog. It saw very few players like a day. I have tried every possible mode from arena to PL to KOTH to CP maps, dunno what I'm gana do. I also dont run shitty mods on it if thats what youre wondering. What do people want..

Getting your servers to become popular is as much luck as it is anything else.

Vanilla is the best setting. Try holding "events" with friends. People join the server faster the more people are there already... Do this a few times and you may start getting "usuals". once you get enough "usuals" you'll see your server become sort of it's own ecosystem.
