I am sorry about not having another admin there, I thought the rotation was set, and while I was there it seemed to be rotating correctly. I had to leave because of a family event or I would have stuck around.
Thank you for helping out and I am truly sorry that people on the server seemed less than grateful... That makes me both angry and sad that people were not being supportive of you helping out.
For the next event I will try to ensure that either DrPepper, Immortal-D, DJive, I, or someone else is on the server for the game day so we dont put an added burden on you or the other Playground admins.
If I may ask though, what happened that made you need to change the maps? I thought the rotation was working fine when I left, did switching to hangar mess things up?
Hi Ryodan and all,
Personally I shouldnt worry about it too much, in my opinion the main point of having these type of days is that mappers get together and play the maps and feedback to the creators their thoughts and suggestions and as far as I can tell that was happening when I was there.
Dont worry about not being able to be there, we've all real lives which prevent us from playing games as much as we'd like, just one of those things I guess, and as for the rtv thing, well the way I look at it is that creative types can sometimes be more highly stung than others so some sort of feet stamping is to be expected.
I would say that the map changing after only 3 rounds was my fault, i'll have to set the winlimit and maxrounds to something really high for next time which will sort that one out.
O and just for the record, I've organised countless fun nights and lans, not only for tf2 but loads of games before stretching right back to doom2, in my experience things have NEVER gone to plan so in reallity I dodnt expect anything diffrent from this one or any others in the future.
Thanks all for turning up and playing and hope to enjoy another one of these soon, hopefully one where I can play more
Cheers,
Chris.
