What a community! I thought I was decent at mapping but after looking around I see I have some big competition. So many great levels, so many of you should give yourselves a pat on the back for your hard work. I know putting up with hammer is not easy. And thanks to those who have taken the time to put this site together and maintain it. TF2 is brilliant. I just bought Unreal III, and well, after about twenty minutes I was bored. Here's to TF2 making it into E-sports.

Oh, guess I should introduce myself. I'm Keith, I make maps.

Welcome to TF2Maps.net! Got any mapping projects going on?

Thanks. I have two projects for TF2. One is a dark gothic styled castle, which is nearly impossible to do without some custom models. So, looks like I'm learning that now.

The other is an Escort the Flag map, for a certain 11 day mapping challenge at a certain level design site... ;)

I figured I'd mossy around here before replying back to you guys. And as it turned out some of the better mappers replied hehe. BTW I'm a big fan of your work. Also Engineer, and Nutomic. All very very impressive. I haven't gotten around to checking eerieone, StickZer0, and owlruler, but if it exists I promise I will.

Oh and would any of you happen to know if there is a model plugin for Maya 2010 yet?

Hey, Yeah, TF2 is starting to get some serious competitive things towards it, albeit more in the style of CSS than UT3.

Anyways, 11 day mapping challenge? TRY 6 HOURS. :D. That's always fun and hellish in the source engine.

Ah, but yeah, I have to say welcome! I'm the residential insane pyro who makes people rage and spams the tf2maps.net chat with talk about webcomics. :D. There always has to be one in each community.

Granted it IS a simple game as far as moving, weapons, etc. But TF2 really shines in the strategy department.

Have you made anything worth while in 6 hours? That seems too insane to me. Maybe I'll give it a shot, though, heh.

Thanks a lot man. Pyro is such a great class. Do you use backburner or compression blast? Honestly, I think compression blast is the way to go. Do you do any mapping? Got any projects going on?

Welcome! My piece of advice to you is to take screenshots with cl_drawhud 0 and r_drawviewmodels 0 on (sv_cheats has to be on of course) to provide you with much more professional looking screenshots.
