PROBLEM SOLVED
I had someone come up to me via steam, and told me how to find the file I was looking for, I now feel incredibly stupid, and I no longer require assistance.

The file was in steammaps/*username*/teamfortress2/tf/maps (Or something like that)
Sorry to have wasted anyone's time.

Here is the original question for reference:
------------------------------------------------------

Ok, to clear this up first, I am going to sound incredibly stupid when asking questions. I just started mapping last Sunday (21st,) so I am really new to this, and my problem probably isn't a huge one. (I hope)

Now that that is out of the way, I will explain my problem, I'm going to go into way too much detail, so if you want to get down to my biggest problem, scroll down until you see bold. I'm only putting the rest in here, in case I did something wrong beforehand.

Take in account, I have read this: http://forums.tf2maps.net/showthread.php?t=4530

Ok, so I have been trying to get this problem to go away: This happens with & without HDR. (I prefer the map WITHOUT HDR)
PS1.jpg

So I followed the instructions above, put in a cubemap, at head height:
PS2.jpg

Now (before building) the map looks like this: (In HDR the weapons & point glow white)
PS3.jpg

SO, to fix this, I follow the above guide, and compile in HDR, type in all the commands, however whenever I "buildcubemaps" I get this:

Current mod isn't in a subdirectory of "game"!
bounce: 1/1 sample: 1/1
*** Error: Skybox vtf files for sky_night_01 weren't compiled with the same size texture and/or same flags!
Can't load skybox file sky_night_01 to build the default cubemap!

I don't think it matters, but just in case it does, Il put it there.
Now once I have finished the directions all the way up to #11, load up a different map, everything works.

This is where I get confused, #12 says: "Disconnect again, and load up your map. Enjoy!"

At this point, I just type map koth_asylum into the console. It loads up my map and looks fine:
PS4.jpg

Big problem:
Now I want to get my map onto my server, what do I do? I have tried to just install the BSP file normally, but it just reverts to before I built cubemaps. And in hammer, if I go to "File" and click "Run Map..." It also reverts to before I built cubemaps. (I am running my server from the same cpu that I made the map on)

What do I do to get the "good looking version" into my server? When I built the cubemaps, did it save a file somewhere? or did I do something wrong?

I could really use an expert, or someone who is smarter than I am, to show me what I do at this point.

(Please tell me If I put this thread in the wrong place, because after all this typing, it would only make sense that I did.)

Thanks,
LewK

Are you building cubemaps in HDR and LDR?

I'm building cubemaps by going to "File" --> "Run Map..." in hammer, then checking the HDR box, and following these instructions:

http://forums.tf2maps.net/showthread.php?t=4530

I think I am, but like I said, I'm new to this, and I really have no idea.
