Hammer isn't something you can pick up and learn in a day. It will take a while, be patient.
I used this tutorial when I started, it covers the basics of hammer and how to use the more important tools (it's technically designed for Half-Life 2 mapping but it doesn't matter).
Google is your friend. Also keep Political's link and this link handy. They'll help a lot. There are also a lot of good tutorials on Youtube.

I need to know how to upload maps cuz ive managed to make one

Firstly, in Hammer, you need to click "File" and click "Run Map".

Once it's done 'compiling' it'll load up TF2 and you'll be on your map.

After that, check C:\Local Disk\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\<yoursteamname>\team fortress 2\tf\maps for the "BSP" file, it'll be named after what you named your map, for example, "my_map.bsp"

If you have your own hosted server purchased from a site, you can upload that to the tf\maps folder on the admin panel part of the website.

It's abit complicated at first, but once you know how to do it, you'll be fine.

It compiles everything then loads Tf2 and it goes to the main menu:(

Make sure your map's name doesn't have capitals (this can break Linux based servers), and make sure it's just letters and underscores

For example:

"the_snipers_map.bsp"

If you name it awkwardly, it'll go to the main menu and do nothing.

I wouldn't recommend uploading your first map because from the sounds of it you're just grasping the basic concepts of hammer, follow plenty of tutorials and increase your overall knowledge of map making. Then you can start working on an entire Map with Gamemode and now we're talking!
