How can i test if i used pakrat correctly ?

So, right after i read that i need to pakrat my map, i knew that there would be missing files in my contest entry :D
At first i didn't have any model textures at all included, i just stumbled over the bsp filesize and had a deeper look.
So my question is. Should there ever be another contest entry by me, is there a way i can test the map on my own and find out if i included all the files i need in the bsp ?
Because i obviously have all the models and textures on my computer but can i somehow simulate how another person sees the map on my own computer as well ?

Or do i just have to send the bsp to someone else to be 100% sure everything worked out ?

Same for cubemaps. Are these automatically included in the bsp file after i create them ingame, or did i miss them entirely and should have included them by hand via pakrat ?

I usually rename or move my materials folder and test the map, then switch it all back to normal when I'm done, but giving the map to someone else for testing is your best bet.

Buy a second TF2 copy on one of their insane deals and have a second steam account with nothing custom installed.

Pakrat
Copy BSP over
Change account
test
publish/repeat

This is what I do.

Or, if you want to save money, use the undeadpatch for steam, also works:p

and concerning the cubemaps ? they are saved within the bsp itself automatically ?
