Here's my third gimmicky map. My second is really just a variation on my first, only larger.

This map puts the intel in a central location and you then have to run the intel to the room above the enemy spawn! The first point might be easy because there's no setup time (that may change), but any defenses put up will seriously hinder capture after that.

The lighting in this map still needs tweaking, but I'm working on it. I tried to make this map good for all clases with nooks and crannies for snipers, engi's, etc etc. Haven't played it as of yet, but team-vipers.com is hosting it on the crit and vanilla server. If an admin is on, just ask for it by name.

Name: ctf_football_v1.bsp

Enjoy and let the critiques fly! :D

This is from one of your previous maps

This is your first map. Most often these will be terrible and should not really be released to the public (small private tests are good though!).
In my eyes this map looks like a experiment where you learn hammer and it's tools, and then you decided to put it up on the internet for some reason.

My suggestions would be that you continue to build things in hammer and try them out with your friends, and once you have tried all the basic features of hammer/source (like lights and displacements) you can start making a "real map".

Until you have something with a little more potential than a fullbright orange map, any positive feedback will be scarce...

Good luck!

Please heed it. The circumstances have changed a bit, now you have a map in which about 70% of it is very dark. The iterative (multiple version) process in map making is vital, but that process does not serve as an excuse for a lazy map. You have released 2 (that I've found, 3 that you say you've made) maps in the last month. If you want to be taken seriously here you need to commit to a map and see the process all the way through.
If this map is intended for the crit server community, which I don't think is widely supported here, post it there! Don't put you map on a forum dedicated to the whole community. Please.

One thing I've learned from these maps I've made is that small isn't good. I still have a lot to learn, and time will tell. But I can take critisim well and I DO appreciate the feedback. Heck, can't get better without input, now can we? :D

So, I'm back to the drawing board, and I'll release a few more updates for this small 'spamfest' map to learn the processes.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have revisions to do ;)
